People expect that the rate cut (by US Fed) would be seeing turn in direction of market and economy immediately may not be possible. However,I would say that any cut or rise in interest rates is a very owerful weapon ,albeit, effective over a longer time. Those who understand the effectiveness of this weapon in long run do rush to markets with their mood changed but are then swamped by the people of spoilt mood who will like to first see the signs of recovery in statistical form. In the end the Fed action will initiate the healing process surely.
