Friends,
The ‘trust vote’ has seen every political party lose in terms of prestige and reliability. The BJP lost due to putting forth lame logic for opposing the deal and its incoherent political move may have prompted some of its MPs abstaining from voting or being more readily getting lured by the favour/goodies offered by the beneficiary. Karat of left is seen as very immature polititian for having taken such stiff stance against the ‘nuke deal’ which most in public see as not bad for country. The reservations of left have not been understood by public and have not been properly explained. Samajvadi Party has lost prestige and Mulayam-Amar duo are seen as just a stooge of a business house without any political wisdome or philosophy for they are endorsing the deal that they once opposed and also they are supporting the same congress which was made to fall for the left’s freindship for taking over the governance of the country. Congress though has won the vote , has lost for the public sees them once again using cash for saving govt. and resultingly the Mr Clean has become Mr Not-so-clean. The Indian public has lost heart by seeing such ugly matters unlining the Indian politics. The Indian parliament has to have a chapter recording the such unsavoury matters for the future students of parliamentary history to study. We , the citizens of India , have to learn our own lesson about not seeing the matter of non-gentlemen winning elections as something not concerning us individually. It was an occassion for a meaningful debate in parliament. It will take ages for the parliament to regain grace. However, the Chairman of Lok-Sabha has been a sole winner but now has to pass the acid test of ruling and taking action in a thoughtful , effective and legal manner. The other winner was the market which actually did the ‘rope trick’ scaled up by more than 800 Sensex points.

The ones seen acting in a manner which was not straight or guided solely by the national interest lost at the recently held parliamentary elections. It seems public has not had short memory this time or the impressions were very strong.
